to the back of the TM-U950 printer
This is the adaptor used with the serial printer TM-U950 it connects to the communication cable that goes to console.
The adaptor is not used in every situation! The printer will connect to your computer serial port for example.. For the ruby system we see this used alot.

Tm-U950 Settings To Work with a Variety of Systems
On the bottom of the TM-U950 is a cover plate with a single screw. Under the plate is a set of DIP SWITCHES..
For normal serial comunications to the ruby
(9600,n,8,1 ) the number six on DSW2 should be on, the rest off..
The point is that this printer can work on a variety of systems. We set out-going printers to work with this setting (9600,n,8,1 ) . If you need other settings simply say so in special instructions at check out.
